We are in the midst of the 2016 AEP which means that now is the time for everyone who currently has a Medicare based health plan to review their plan for 2017 and decide if they want to keep it or not. Friendly, reminder that anyone who has a policy through HealthSpan, your plan is being "termed" on December 31, 2016. This means that unless you sign up for a different plan you will NOT have any medical or Rx coverage on January 1, 2017 (aside from Original Medicare with no Rx coverage). Please, contact your agent to make arrangements for a new plan.
As we start the New Year off and everything starts to slow down we should take time to make sure that we have everything needed for our insurance. Everyone should have received their new insurance cards in the mail by now. If not call us ASAP so that we can get the process started of ordering new ones for you. Also, please check your bank/social security statements to be sure that if you plan has a monthly premium that it is being deducted correctly. If you would like you may contact the insurance companies directly with any issues, but as always we are here to help.
All right, folks, AEP 2015 is upon us (October 15 - December 7) and over the next several weeks you are going to be bombarded with advertisements on TV, radio, in the paper, and through the mail. Around October 1st you should be receiving our annual update letter in the mail and it should answer some of the more basic questions. If you have more in-depth questions you should contact us or attend one of our informational meetings (for existing clients only). In these meetings we will answer any questions you have and discuss your other options if you request it. Please be aware that seating is limited at these meetings so please RSVP ahead of time. As a reminder if you would like us to review your doctor or drug information for 2016 (not required) doing so is on a first-come, first-served basis so the sooner you get us the information the sooner we can get back to you. We look forward to seeing all of you this year and hope that you have a great holiday season!
Alright everyone it's getting to be that time of year again. Your Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) reports will be arriving in the near future (August-September), these reports are updating you on what changes your plan want to make for 2016. Please remember that these things are still subject to change until October 1, 2015 and as such I, as your insurance agent, cannot discuss those changes until then.
Those changes are showing what the insurance company wants to do but not necessarily what Medicare will allow them to do. So again remember that they are subject to change until October 1. If you have any questions you may certainly call and ask and I will put you on a list to call after October 1.
Have a great rest of your summer!
Well it's that time of year again; the weather is heating up and people are going places. Just a friendly reminder that if you are on a Medicare based plan its benefits end at the border, so if you want medical coverage outside of the US you will need to buy a travelers health insurance policy. We offer several such plans including ones that you can custom build for yourself. Click here for more information on what policies we have available. Have a great summer everyone!
Well the New Year has begun and you know what that means... Yes, it is time for the Medicare 101 Educational Events to start back-up. Please check the Home Page for the most up-to-date schedule of these events and call/e-mail us to reserve a seat as these always fill up quickly. If you cannot make it to one of the events we also make no-cost/obligation house calls to go over the same information.
OK folks the Annual Enrollment Period is upon us once again. Beginning October 15 and running until December 7 is the time to contact us if you want to change Medicare Healthcare insurance plans. This year we are trying to reach more people in the same amount of time than before so we hosting different seminars around town to discuss the changes that are being made to all of the existing plans. Please, check your mail in the coming weeks for your annual letter as well as our list of scheduled seminars. If you are able we would love to see everyone at one of these seminars, but we do understand that not everyone will be able to attend so we will be doing some one-on-one appointments just like we have done in the past. However, due to time constraints these appointments are going to be done on a first-come, first-served basis so we are requesting that anyone interested in one of these meetings please contact us as soon as possible so that we can get your meeting scheduled.
The Annual Enrollment Period is almost here! Now is the time to start reviewing all of the different insurance options that are out there for you. Contact us for more information regarding your specific circumstances. We are currently scheduling group seminars so that we can meet with groups of you at one time and can go over the different options. Please check back for more up to date information regarding our seminars.
If you have a Medicare Supplement you can ask for a quote from a different carrier at any time of year? You don't have to wait for Open Enrollment. Call or e-mail for a quote.
